Tataratà Tataratà, onomatopeic name which came from rhythmic drum sound commands swords dance, its started from the Santa Croce feast context which celebrates, every IVth sunday of May, for more than three centuries, the finding of a woody Cross which dates 70 a.C. The folk group is trying to mantein alive tradictions and relative monuments, so that only culture keeps a message of civil and symbiotic convivence beetwen christian and arabian ethnos which have lived together on the same territory. Casteltermini Casteltermini is situated in the middle of Sicily, 39 Km N from Agrigento, 95 SSE from Palermo, 554 m on sea level, about 15.000 ab., near statal road number 189 beetwen Agrigento and Palermo. The small city was founded in 1629 by prince Gian Vincenzo Termini e Ferreri on a place populated by arabians. |
